CALL FOR PAPERS on the 24th CWVS CONFERENCE ON WEST VISAYAN HISTORY & CULTURE
Theme: " Maritime Heritage of Western Visayas, Philippines"

The conference aims to gather and encourage scholars to present and discuss papers based on new researches and perspectives in the study of maritime history.

Sub-themes:
- Maritime Tradition, History, Art and Literature
- Seafaring, Trade and Society
- Maritime Governance
- Gender and Kinship Relations
- Fisher Well Being, Vulnerabilities and Resilience

Important Dates to Remember:
August 15, 2014 - Deadline of submission of abstracts
September 15, 2014 - Deadline of submission of full papers

Registration Fees:
1,000.00 - Professionals
600.00 - Students

Guidelines:
Abstracts must indicate the following:
- Title of paper, name(s) of author (s), institutional affiliation and email address.
-Texts must not be more than 500 words and should contain objectives, methodology, results and conclusions
-Use only Arial or Helvetica typefaces, size 11, observe single spacing
