Are you our next scholar? One of UFI's key programs is giving a SCHOLARSHIP GRANT for Vocational-Technical and Formal Education. From now until the application deadline on Feb 13 2015, we are inviting possible applicants to be one of the UFI COLLEGE SCHOLARS. We are seeking 12 new scholars for school year 2015-2016. Requirements and procedures are listed below:

Requirements:

1. Must be a child of any regular government employee with a salary not exceeding P200,000.00 per year for both parents. Submit photocopy of parents’ ITR.

2. The applicant must be a candidate for high school graduation with an average grade of 85% or better. Submit a photocopy of latest report card.

3. Must reside in any of the host communities of the La Filipina Uy Gongco Group of Companies (Jordan, Guimaras; Pres. Roxas, Capiz; and Iloilo City).

4. Single

5. Emotionally, physically and mentally fit

6. Must be an incoming freshman or 1st year in college or willing to get a 2 year course (voc-tech)

7. Must only choose from the following courses:

TESDA accredited courses: Bread and Pastry Production, Electrical Installation and Maintenance, Welding, Automotive Servicing, Bookkeeping (Diploma in Computer-based Accountancy)

Formal Education courses: Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Financial Management, Engineering, Marine Technology, Nautical, Agriculture

Procedures:

1. Get an application form from the UFI office located at Tiu Gan Building, Arroyo St., Iloilo City. Fill up and include a recent 2x2 photo.

2. Submit a recommendation letter from the immediate supervisor of the parent’s employer together with the requirements listed above.

3. Appear on the interview and take the qualifying exams once notified.

4. Submit to UFI office the following additional requirements as soon as completed and ready:

a. Photocopy of high school diploma

b. Photocopy of report card (completed)

c. Photocopy of good moral character

d. Photocopy of NSO birth certificate

e. Photocopy of medical results (CBC, chest x-ray, urinalysis and fecalysis)

5. Result of the application will be communicated to the applicant as soon as decision has been made.

6. Deadline for submission of application with requirements is on February 13, 2015.
